Best known for his work as lead singer of You Can’t Win, Charlie Brown, Afonso Cabral released "Morada" in 2019, his first album under his own name and in Portuguese. A regular member of the band that accompanies Bruno Pernadas on stage, Afonso Cabral made his debut in writing solo songs with the theme Perto, performed by Cristina Branco. He also wrote, with Francisca Cortesão (Minta & The Brook Trout), the song Anda Estragar-me Os Planos, for the voice of Joana Barra Vaz – a theme that has since been the subject of several versions, namely by Salvador Sobral and Tim Bernardes. ​Recently, he released the album "Ao vivo no CCB" with themes from the concert given at the Centro Cultural de Belém, in November 2019
